Certainly, I'm implying a certain non-person-focused cosmology here--being, after all, a completely lapsed Lutheran. Not even a Lutheran/Dadaist but a fully reformulated Moontanastanian Heretick. It seems to me as likely that when we are born "our" soul dies and then when we die we rejoin capital b Being in the timelessness of little n nothing. Well, we'll discuss this in the coming--or is that "ending"--days.

while i get the sense of the poem
and i like it and will forget it soon...i must say it conflicts a bit with a christian view...which is a more person focussed view...for thomas d'aquino the soul the mind the person are synonymous...one and the same...the body is the form of the soul...while the body dies the soul remains and one day the whole person emerges in a cosmic panoply of love...the body is more the mind than is the brain...to be fully aware of the presence of god is to overcome the abject lonliness of living...this is no gaurantee that life will not get worse
